United 93 DVD

As readers may recall, I went to see United 93 back in April when it opened. My review of the film can be found here. I found it an impressive and moving film that skillfully recreated much of the feeling of 9/11. Of course, that success helped make it a difficult film to watch; at the end, the theater was dead silent, and I suspect it took some time for people to fully digest what they'd witnessed. Today the DVD is hitting the stores, and I confess that while I'm not sure if I'll ever watch it, I kind of hope it will do well in sales, if only as an acknowledgement of the film's accomplishment.

The movie was good - all the hype "too soon" was a crock! Actually - the cable production of Flight 93's demise (months ahead of the movie [no whines about their 'too soon']) was MUCH better than the "hyped" movie.
