Oscars 2006

It's that time again: Oscar night. I'll confess my level of interest isn't what it normally is, as I haven't seen many (if any) of the nominated films, but the ceremonies themselves are rather interesting to observe, if only to see what Hollywood considers socially redeeming (since that, as often as artistic merit, is what seems to drive awards decisions). Besides, Oscarblogging is a tradition for me after four years, so I'll be continuing the tradition this evening, starting in about half an hour. And who knows? Maybe tonight will live up to Bette Davis' promise in All About Eve.
