Dirty Tricks Report
For those readers who haven't already seen this, it appears that Swift Boat Vet Steve Gardner has paid a hard price for his decision to speak out against John Kerry. During the campaign he was harrassed by Kerry campaign surrogates, and his employer terminated him, leaving him without a job and still holding plenty of bills. The guys at Power Line have lots of information on how people can help. As always, there are more causes out there than any of us have money, but if you have the inclination, I'm sure the Gardner family would appreciate a little help.
There is, to the best of my knowledge, no hard evidence that the Kerry campaign is responsible for Gardner's situation. It's just one Hell of a coincidence.
Update: Gardner's former employer responds.

I apologize for only allowing authenticated commenters, but comment spam overwhelms the site if I don't use those measures to prevent it. I reserve the right to delete any comment, although generally comments will only be deleted due to use of profanity or personal attacks on people. I have no objection to vigorous argument, but when name-calling begins, I'm putting a stop to it. In the immortal words of Eugene Levy, "People, people, let's stop this before somebody says something untrue!" If you want to call people names, I recommend you get your own blog.

I could say that I didn't get the recent promotion to management because I have a Kerry button on my desk and also a poster from BillionairesforBush.com that says "Education is not for everyone."
Oddly enough, I was told on election day that they were going a different direction to fill the position.
I didn't receive the same level of harassment as I am sure he did for his stance, but it wasn't uncommon for me to be asked how I could support a traitor or why I didn't support our troops.
