« For God's Sake, Don't Turn | Main | Misunderestimation » April 22, 2004Spirit of AmericaFrom time to time you'll see people saying that Americans should make some sacrifices as part of the war. I think that's driven primarily by WWII nostalgia, but I can certainly applaud the sentiment of people wanting to do their part to chip in. So I'm quite pleased to announce that I've signed on with John of Arggghh to support Spirit of America, a not-for-profit organization devoted to contributing charitable goods to local communities where U.S. troops are involved. We're looking to raise as much money as possible through the 29th of April, as well as beat some other groups of bloggers into the bargain. The most important thing is that, whichever group of bloggers wins, this project can help us all win by doing a little more to help us spread the right message about America all over the world.
