Lies: Another Perspective The interestingly-named Dr. Manhattan (presumably a Watchmen fan...is there a Rorschach out there?) offers his own assessment of why the United States went to war in Iraq. While I believe it's very difficult for anyone who feels strongly about the issue to objectively assess why others did or did not support the war, he makes some interesting points about Bush's doctrine of preemption and its implications for the status of Iraq's WMD programs. This is by no means a smoking gun, but it's an interesting perspective that hadn't yet occurred to me, and it deserves discussion. Unfortunately, it's late, and I'm tired, so further analysis will have to await the morning. Posted at 10:02 PM | Politics | TrackBack (0)Comments
There is a Dr. Manhatten and a Comedian, but no Rorschach. If I don't get employed soon, I may take on the moniker "Nite Owl" whether I want to or not! Posted by: R. Alex at June 23, 1903 07:32 AMPost a comment
